Donuts with Dad

Donuts with Dad

Today was a stormy Saturday morning and everyone was sick so I decided to fry some donuts. I did these three ways: glazed, cinnamon sugar, and powdered sugar.

These donuts are perfect for a weekend morning. They are a family favorite that we make all the time and are easy to make. All you need for these are a can of biscuits and your favorite topping or multiple toppings.

Start by opening the can of biscuits and laying the biscuit dough out on a flat surface. Take something like a top to a water bottle to make the holes in the dough. Once you have the holes made place them in a pan with hot oil to fry the biscuits.

Once the donuts become golden brown on one side, about 2 minutes, flip them over to brown the other side.

Once the donuts are finished frying place them on a paper towel to drain off the grease before rolling in you topping of choice.

Now is the fun part. Take your donuts and roll them in your choice of powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, or make some glaze to drizzle over by combining powdered sugar with a little water.
